She walks when you walk, runs when you run, and is very smart on the trail (we went up where the trail got iffy because of the weather and she was a gem of a guide and waited for me to safely get over trees and under brush.) Pootie would make a dream trail dog for any hiker or mountain biker. It doesn't actually take a very active dog so much as a smart dog. She's very smart." from a wonderful volunteer.
